Who We Are
Our Mission
Our Vision
We're A Lutheran Community
As a church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we take the Bible seriously: in preaching, in teaching, and how we live the word of God in our daily lives. We see the Bible as the manger that cradles the Christ child. The Bible is the living, breathing word of God.
GOD CAME TO US IN CHRIST JESUS.
God was made vulnerable in the flesh as Jesus, sent to the world because of God’s deep love for humanity and desire to be with us. And now, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we believe that Jesus is now experienced through us. Jesus is with us and within us, and we are sent out to be the hands and feet of Christ.
GRACE IS WHAT SETS US APART AS LUTHERANS.
Grace is God giving fully and freely of God’s very self to humanity, whether we deserve it or not, and whether we want it or not. It is the way in which Jesus loves and forgives us.
WORSHIP IS AT THE CENTER OF WHAT WE DO.
While we have two different styles of worship—vibrant Traditional and engaging Contemporary—both are centered on encountering Christ. Being part of the community of Christ was never meant to be an individual experience. We need each other.
DIVERSE IN OPINION, UNITED IN MISSION.
At St. Andrew’s, we're a broad mix of people who represent various social and political viewpoints, backgrounds, and ages. Our opinions may differ, but we are united in our mission.
WE BELIEVE IN ONE GOD.
We believe in one God who is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This one God creates, saves, and sustains us.
WE BELIEVE THAT JOURNEYING TOGETHER IS BETTER.
We meet you where you are. If you're in a place of joy and celebration, we want to laugh and rejoice with you. If you're feeling broken, sad, or anxious, we'll share your struggle. We want to be with you, wherever you are.
WE BELIEVE FAITH IS A VERB.
Faith is an action that propels us outside of our comfort zone to love and care for others. It's our compass, our comfort, and our joy. In baptism, we're sealed by the Holy Spirit and marked with the cross of Christ forever. When we're baptized, we're reminded of our identity as a child of God. We recognize ONE baptism into the faith. We baptize infants, youth, and adults, acknowledging that God gives us this gift freely at any stage in life.
Holy Sacraments
These sacraments are ancient gifts that connect believers. This is where God is truly present. The sacraments come with a promise (forgiveness and new, eternal life) in a tangible way (water, bread, and wine) and a command (“Go and baptize… Take and eat… Take and drink”). These sacraments ground us in our identity as God’s beloved children and bind us together to be the body of Christ, bringing Jesus’ transforming love to the world.

Holy Baptism
In baptism, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit and marked with the cross of Christ forever. When we’re baptized, we’re reminded of our identity as a child of God. With promises of forgiveness and everlasting life, we’re freed to love and be loved. We recognize ONE baptism into the faith. We baptize infants, youth, and adults, acknowledging that God gives this gift freely at any stage in life.

Holy Communion
Communion is offered at every weekend service. We believe that the bread remains bread and the wine remains wine, and yet Jesus is in, with, and under the sacramental components. All are welcome to partake—it isn’t our invitation to come to the table, but Christ’s. You may come forward to receive communion, or be served in your seat. Gluten-free and non-alcoholic options are available.
Belonging & Inclusion
At St. Andrew’s we believe God gives us our unity in Christ and that we’re all in this together. We respect, honor and embrace the rich gift of diversity God has given us. We value every person, are united in common mission, and seek full participation of all in the life and work of this church. As we work to reflect the kingdom of God, we strive to intentionally address the ways that race, gender, ability, sexual orientation, marital status, age, class and our prejudices limit participation, and exclude and harm people, communities and the whole body of Christ.

Environmental Stewardship
The EST’s (Environmental Stewardship Team) goal is to promote the stewardship of God’s life-sustaining creation within St. Andrew’s and our community. We desire to work in concert with the church mission to Proclaim Jesus Christ, Live in Christ, Serve so that the whole world will know the healing power of Christ’s love.
God first created the earth and then created humankind. The first task God gave to humankind was to care for this “good” and amazing creation. Joining together to care for the masterpiece that God has made should be something that unifies us—a universal way to honor God through our actions.
