Veteran WCCO and KARE 11 TV Anchor Woman Pat Miles learned something the hard way. In her book Before All Is Said and Done, she chronicles what she and her husband, Charles “Bucky” Zimmerman, experienced after the shock of learning he had cancer. When Bucky passed shortly after his diagnosis, Pat found herself with a plate full of unanticipated emotions, decisions, and legal problems. But, as she spoke with other widows, she learned she was not alone in finding herself adrift after losing a spouse.
We’ll kick off the evening with music by Bill Chouinard and Sara Renner, then Pat Miles and Cathy Wurzer will share their advice for navigating the oft-ignored problems that run in tandem with loss of a loved one.
