Pastor Michael Jordan grew up in Hibbing, Minnesota, and moved to the Twin Cities to attend the U of M, where he earned his B.S. in Physics. Soon after graduation, he served as Youth Director at Roseville Lutheran Church. While in that role, he began pursuing his MDiv from Luther Seminary. His two degrees may seem disparate, but he says that science helped explain "how" the world works, and faith explains "why." Prior to coming to St. Andrew’s, Pastor Jordan served as Associate Pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Yankton, SD.
Michael is an avid outdoorsman and camp enthusiast, perhaps because he met the love of his life (wife Megan Moroff) while working as a summer camp counselor. In the Fall of 2025, they bought their first home in Maplewood, giving their beloved rescue pup Rosie a new yard to explore. He also enjoys traveling (helpful, considering missions is half his new role), playing board games, camping, watching Survivor, cheering on the Atlanta Falcons, and trying to spend as much time in, on, or near water as possible. Fun fact: Michael went skydiving for his 18th birthday. He says, “It was thrilling to jump out of a plane 14,000 feet above the ground and be in total free fall for over a minute.”
