The second week provides an overview of core issues at the heart of the conflict\, including territorial disputes\, security concerns\, refugee rights\, and Jerusalem and status of settlements. The conversation will address challenges Christians face in understanding the conflict and strategies for fostering understanding and respect for both Israeli and Palestinian narratives— all in an effort to bring about peace and healing in our world. \n\n\n\nOur premiere adult education ministry includes inspiring weekly LIFE Talks and small group connections through LIFE Groups. DESCRIPTION:St. Andrew’s Together in Grief support group is offering a special Time of Remembrance on Thursday\, December 19 from 4:30-6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of the Sanctuary Building (enter through Door 1). Pastor Brian will welcome Grief Life Coach Erin Hente that evening to help talk about Navigating Grief During the Holidays. Erin Hente is a Certified Life Coach\, Inspirational Speaker\, Grief Advocate\, and widowed mom of three amazing kiddos. She spent almost her entire 10 year career in Financial Services preparing people for the unexpected and it was during that time that she soon found herself navigating the unexpected when her husband Andy died suddenly in a workplace accident. \n\n\n\nYou are welcome to attend this special evening\, even if you have not attended the support group in the past. There will be some time for prayer\, a candlelight time to remember and talk about our loved ones\, and discuss ways to cope with the Holidays. We ask that you RSVP so we can set up our space accordingly. If you plan to attend\, please email Carol Wiens or call the Church office at 651.426.3261. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTogether in Grief is an in-person\, facilitated support group for those experiencing the loss of loved ones\, offered by St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church. The group gives members an opportunity to share\, listen\, and support each other to move toward healing. The group is facilitated by a St. Andrew’s Pastor or Care Lay Minister in the Dot Room of the Great Hall. You can join the group at any time during the 8-week session\, which concludes on this date. There is no cost to attend. To learn more about the group please contact Lisa Grundtner. A new session will begin after the first of the year.

Learn about Christianity in its early centuries. We visit the amazing ruins of Pompeii\, marvel at the beauty of the Amalfi Coast\, and discover the ancient Roman civilization. Special visits to a winery and farm provide opportunities to enjoy and learn about Italian cuisine. Like ancient Christians before us\, we worship \, eat\, laugh\, and experience the joy of Christian community together.This custom-designed travel experience of 12 days and 10 nights takes place when temperatures are cooler and crowds are moderate. Italy’s Mediterranean climate offers an average high temperature in Rome\, Florence\, and Sorrento of 60 to 70°F during this season.
