Early Childhood

Baptism is a significant experience that formalizes entrance into the Christian church. We believe that in baptism we claim our identity as God’s beloved child and celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit – for it is the Spirit that gives faith, forgives sins, and grants new and eternal life. In baptism we are then called to join God’s mission in the world through proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ in word and deed.

We often baptize infants and young children, but baptism is always open to all ages – including older children, teens, and adults who haven’t yet been baptized.
Baptism at St. Andrew’s involves participating in a baptism workshop and celebrating the baptism during a worship service. Baptisms are performed during most regular services. The one-hour baptism workshop reviews what baptism is, what it means for you and/or your child, tips for raising a family of faith, and what the day of baptism will look like.

Nursery Care

We currently offer care at all Sunday morning worship times: 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary and 9:30 a.m. Contemporary Worship in the Great Hall.

We look forward to offering childcare for children ages birth to 5 during worship services. Children with special needs are always welcome. Our nursery is staffed by young adults and adults trained in CPR and first aid. Pagers are provided to parents/guardians in the event they need to be contacted during the service. No prior registration is required.
