Baptism, one of two sacraments offered in the Lutheran church, welcomes all into God’s family. Baptism is the first Skipping Stone in our Skipping Stones ministry that celebrates significant moments in a child’s faith journey. Families are expected to attend a baptism workshop prior to the baptism of each child. Learn more on the Baptism Ministry page.

Nursery Care

We offer childcare for children ages birth to 5 during all worship services (in the Great Hall Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Sundays at 8:45 and 10:15 a.m.; in the Sanctuary Sundays at 9 and 10:30 a.m.).  Children with special needs are always welcome. Our nursery is staffed by young adults and adults trained in CPR and first aid. Pagers are provided to parents/guardians in the event they need to be contacted during the service. No prior registration is required.

Preschools of St. Andrew’s

We have two preschool options for your family, a full day program (at St. Andrew’s Village) and a half day program (in the Sanctuary). For more information, visit the Preschools of St. Andrew’s page.

Dock is our children’s education ministry offered during weekend worship services. Age-specific classes are offered for children ages 3 through Grade 5. Children check in upon arrival, print a nametag, and join their families for the first part of the service until invited to Dock. (Exception: Preschoolers in the Sanctuary check in, print a nametag, and go directly to their preschool classroom.) Please note that no Dock classes are offered on the first weekend of each month, when all families are invited to participate in worship together.

Join us for a Bible Walk of Fame! This school year we will introduce the “Stars of the Bible.” Each week children will learn a Bible story about a new “Star” and participate in interactive activities to reinforce their place in God’s story.
