Zanny received her grief educator certification under noted grief expert David Kessler.Zanny also has a long history with St. Andrew’s—her first role here was as junior high youth director in 1990\, and her three daughters were baptized at St. Andrew’s. She is a lifelong singer\, having performed with the Good News Band (1995–2006) and\, most recently\, with the National Lutheran Choir.
