SUMMARY:TRICKS & TREATS WITH THE MIGHTY ORGAN
DESCRIPTION:This annual pre-Halloween concert for all ages is a hit with St. Andrew’s attendees as well as the greater community. During this one-hour performance\, resident organist Bill Chouinard will play the famous Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach\, and other classical and pop favorites on Minnesota’s largest pipe organ! Guests will be thrilled and chilled by special lighting and videos in a concert designed with young listeners in mind. Kids are invited to come in costume to participate in an indoor costume parade for kids. Come early for a pizza meal served from 5-6pm in the adjoining Fellowship Hall. (One slice of pizza\, plus salad\, fruit\, and beverage. Pay-as-you’re-able\, suggested donation $3-5/person.) An offering will be received with a special organ “trick” and refreshments and treats will be available after the program.

DESCRIPTION:The one-hour interactive workshop via Zoom covers what baptism is\, what it means for you and/or your child\, tips for raising a family of faith\, and what the day of baptism will look like. \n\n\n\nThe class will cover: What baptism means in the Lutheran tradition\, how to prepare for your child’s baptism\, what to expect on the day of their baptism\, godparents and how to select them\, nurturing faith at home beyond your child’s baptism day\, and more! You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other St. Andrew’s families\, and have any of your remaining questions about baptism answered. \n\n\n\nPlease gather these items and have them nearby at the Zoom meeting: A “faith object” (for show-and-tell)— something in your home that reminds you of your faith or helps you practice your faith\, a small bowl of water (for a blessing)\, and a Bible (you can Google for our readings if you don’t have a Bible available). \n\n\n\nYour children are more than welcome to join us during the meeting\, but they are not required to be present. We understand that some of you will need to move on-and-off-screen to tend to the needs of your little ones during our time together. Learn about Christianity in its early centuries. We visit the amazing ruins of Pompeii\, marvel at the beauty of the Amalfi Coast\, and discover the ancient Roman civilization. Special visits to a winery and farm provide opportunities to enjoy and learn about Italian cuisine. Like ancient Christians before us\, we worship \, eat\, laugh\, and experience the joy of Christian community together.This custom-designed travel experience of 12 days and 10 nights takes place when temperatures are cooler and crowds are moderate. Italy’s Mediterranean climate offers an average high temperature in Rome\, Florence\, and Sorrento of 60 to 70°F during this season. The itinerary is being planned and paced through Carrousel Travel\, Minneapolis\, with multiple night stays: two nights in Florence\, two nights in Assisi in the region of Umbria\, three nights in the southern coastal city of Sorrento\, and ending with three nights in Rome.

DESCRIPTION:Animal Angels training is for adults and therapy dogs who wish to visit care facilities\, hospitals\, schools\, libraries\, shelters\, and hospice partners in the metro area\, primarily Washington County. Training is open to any dog owner willing to commit to at least one hour per month visit in the following year\, plus attending monthly in-service meetings (September through May) during the first year of service. The training class includes: \n\n\n\n\nPreparation for the national Therapy Dog Registration test.\n\n\n\nCoverage of facility requirements\, aging and illness\, and conversational skills for a respectful and meaningful visit.There is no charge for the training\, though therapy dog registration organizations charge a nominal testing fee ($10) and an annual registration fee (approximately $50) that includes insurance coverage. SUMMARY:ANIMAL ANGELS THERAPY DOG TRAINING 2025-2026
DESCRIPTION:Animal Angels training is for adults and therapy dogs who wish to visit care facilities\, hospitals\, schools\, libraries\, shelters\, and hospice partners in the metro area\, primarily Washington County. Training is open to any dog owner willing to commit to at least one hour per month visit in the following year\, plus attending monthly in-service meetings (September through May) during the first year of service. The training class includes: \n\n\n\n\nPreparation for the national Therapy Dog Registration test.\n\n\n\nCoverage of facility requirements\, aging and illness\, and conversational skills for a respectful and meaningful visit.There is no charge for the training\, though therapy dog registration organizations charge a nominal testing fee ($10) and an annual registration fee (approximately $50) that includes insurance coverage.
