DESCRIPTION:The one-hour interactive workshop via Zoom covers what baptism is\, what it means for you and/or your child\, tips for raising a family of faith\, and what the day of baptism will look like. \n\n\n\nThe class will cover: What baptism means in the Lutheran tradition\, how to prepare for your child’s baptism\, what to expect on the day of their baptism\, godparents and how to select them\, nurturing faith at home beyond your child’s baptism day\, and more! You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other St. Andrew’s families\, and have any of your remaining questions about baptism answered. \n\n\n\nPlease gather these items and have them nearby at the Zoom meeting: A “faith object” (for show-and-tell)— something in your home that reminds you of your faith or helps you practice your faith\, a small bowl of water (for a blessing)\, and a Bible (you can Google for our readings if you don’t have a Bible available). \n\n\n\nYour children are more than welcome to join us during the meeting\, but they are not required to be present. We understand that some of you will need to move on-and-off-screen to tend to the needs of your little ones during our time together. SUMMARY:TOGETHER IN GRIEF - FALL/WINTER 2025
DESCRIPTION:St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church is offering an in-person\, facilitated support group for those experiencing the loss of a loved one. This group provides a safe and caring space to share stories\, listen deeply\, and walk alongside one another on the path toward healing.The group will be facilitated by Zanny Johnson\, a certified grief educator and spiritual director. Sessions meet on Thursday evening\, 4:30–6pm in the new Great Hall Lounge. You’re welcome to join at any time during the 6-week session. There is no cost to attend.ABOUT THE FACILITATORZanny Johnson is a certified grief educator and spiritual director who brings deep compassion and wisdom to her work with grieving individuals. She serves as Connections Coordinator at Trinity Lutheran in Stillwater\, MN\, and has led grief support groups at both Trinity and Luther Seminary. Zanny received her grief educator certification under noted grief expert David Kessler.Zanny also has a long history with St. Andrew’s—her first role here was as junior high youth director in 1990\, and her three daughters were baptized at St. Andrew’s. She is a lifelong singer\, having performed with the Good News Band (1995–2006) and\, most recently\, with the National Lutheran Choir.

DESCRIPTION:Wednesday Night Dinner runs September 10\, 2025 – May 6\, 2026  \n\n\n\nWednesday night is church night! We serve a delicious meal (made in house!) for children\, adults\, and families participating in Wednesday programs (including kids and adult choirs\, Confirmation\, and LIFEU) and anyone looking for a break from cooking. Dinner is available 4:45-6:15pm in the Sanctuary Fellowship Hall. All are welcome!   \n\n\n\nSuggested donation is $4-6 for children (ages 3 and up) and $6-8 for adults. Cash\, check\, debit/credit cards\, and Apple Pay are accepted. “Pay-as-you’re able!” VOLUNTEER! We can use your help! Join our volunteer teams that prepare the meals on Tuesdays and set up\, serve\, and clean up on Wednesdays. It’s a fun way to be part of our church family while giving back.
