DESCRIPTION:If you are a cancer survivor\, caregiver\, or have a loved-one with cancer\, we welcome you to join us for fellowship. This group will be facilitated by Micki Smith\, a member of our congregation who has traveled a cancer journey of her own. In 2016 Micki was diagnosed with Stage 3B Appendiceal Cancer and subsequently went through surgery and extensive chemotherapy. She is very grateful to be alive today. During her journey\, Micki was able to connect with someone else with cancer. Together they walked with Christ\, and were able to provide each other much-needed comfort and support. In Micki’s own words “God nudged me to help connect with others confronted with cancer–both survivors and caregivers. DESCRIPTION:St. Andrew’s Together in Grief support group is offering a special Time of Remembrance on Thursday\, December 19 from 4:30-6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of the Sanctuary Building (enter through Door 1). Pastor Brian will welcome Grief Life Coach Erin Hente that evening to help talk about Navigating Grief During the Holidays. Erin Hente is a Certified Life Coach\, Inspirational Speaker\, Grief Advocate\, and widowed mom of three amazing kiddos. She spent almost her entire 10 year career in Financial Services preparing people for the unexpected and it was during that time that she soon found herself navigating the unexpected when her husband Andy died suddenly in a workplace accident. \n\n\n\nYou are welcome to attend this special evening\, even if you have not attended the support group in the past. There will be some time for prayer\, a candlelight time to remember and talk about our loved ones\, and discuss ways to cope with the Holidays. We ask that you RSVP so we can set up our space accordingly. If you plan to attend\, please email Carol Wiens or call the Church office at 651.426.3261. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTogether in Grief is an in-person\, facilitated support group for those experiencing the loss of loved ones\, offered by St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church. The group gives members an opportunity to share\, listen\, and support each other to move toward healing. The group is facilitated by a St. Andrew’s Pastor or Care Lay Minister in the Dot Room of the Great Hall. You can join the group at any time during the 8-week session\, which concludes on this date. DESCRIPTION:Open to adults\, the handbell choir rings once-a-month during the 9 and 10:30am worship services\, as well as for Christmas events. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:15–7:15pm. We serve a delicious meal (made in house!) for children\, adults\, and families participating in Wednesday programs (including kids and adult choirs\, Confirmation\, and LIFEU) and anyone looking for a break from cooking. Dinner is available 4:45-6:15pm in the Sanctuary Fellowship Hall. All are welcome! NEW FALL 2024: We’re piloting a “pay-as-you’re able” plan for dinner. Suggested donation is $4-6 for children (ages 3 and up) and $6-8 for adults. Cash\, check\, debit/credit cards\, and Apple Pay are accepted. VOLUNTEER! We can use your help! Join our volunteer teams that prepare the meals on Tuesdays and set up\, serve\, and clean up on Wednesdays. It’s a fun way to be part of our church family while giving back.
