Elementary kids are captivated by the Bible’s dramatic stories\, the life of biblical times\, and learning more about Jesus and the message God has for us. The Upper Elementary Bible Blessing involves participating in a workshop and a celebration and blessing of children during the service. DESCRIPTION:Preschool Bibles are one of St. Andrew’s Skipping Stones for children and youth. As preschoolers enter their first year of Sunday School\, we recognize the beginning of their Christian education journey by presenting them with a children’s story Bible. As they are introduced to God’s Word\, they learn the foundational stories of faith\, of God’s love for them and all people\, and the life and teachings of Jesus. Children participate in a 45-minute parent/child workshop to learn more about their new Bible. Then we will bless the Bibles and families in our next All-In worship service. Workshop options are January 11 or 15. The Celebrations in the service are February 1 or 2.

DESCRIPTION:Thursday at 7:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe one-hour interactive workshop via Zoom covers what baptism is\, what it means for you and/or your child\, tips for raising a family of faith\, and what the day of baptism will look like. \n\n\n\nThe class will cover: What baptism means in the Lutheran tradition\, how to prepare for your child’s baptism\, what to expect on the day of their baptism\, godparents and how to select them\, nurturing faith at home beyond your child’s baptism day\, and more! You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other St. Andrew’s families\, and have any of your remaining questions about baptism answered. \n\n\n\nPlease gather these items and have them nearby at the Zoom meeting: A “faith object” (for show-and-tell)— something in your home that reminds you of your faith or helps you practice your faith\, a small bowl of water (for a blessing)\, and a Bible (you can Google for our readings if you don’t have a Bible available). \n\n\n\nYour children are more than welcome to join us during the meeting\, but they are not required to be present. We understand that some of you will need to move on-and-off-screen to tend to the needs of your little ones during our time together. DESCRIPTION:If you are a cancer survivor\, caregiver\, or have a loved-one with cancer\, we welcome you to join us for fellowship (masks required to protect the immuno-compromised. This group will be facilitated by Micki Smith\, a member of our congregation who has traveled a cancer journey of her own. In 2016 Micki was diagnosed with Stage 3B Appendiceal Cancer and subsequently went through surgery and extensive chemotherapy. She is very grateful to be alive today. During her journey\, Micki was able to connect with someone else with cancer. Together they walked with Christ\, and were able to provide each other much-needed comfort and support. In Micki’s own words “God nudged me to help connect with others confronted with cancer–both survivors and caregivers. My desire is to offer fellowship which will be centered around God’s love and support for us.” \n\n\n\nThis support group is offered both in-person and via Zoom. \n\n\n\nPlease contact Micki Smith at 763.913.4048 with questions. \n\n\n\nRegistration is requested.

Pastor Gilo Agwa shares his experience as a pastor in Ethiopia and with his family and church community now in the United States. \n\n\n\nOur premiere adult education ministry includes inspiring weekly LIFE Talks and small group connections through LIFE Groups. DESCRIPTION:Wednesday Night Dinner – Runs September 11\, 2024 – May 7\, 2025 Wednesday night is church night! We serve a delicious meal (made in house!) for children\, adults\, and families participating in Wednesday programs (including kids and adult choirs\, Confirmation\, and LIFEU) and anyone looking for a break from cooking. Dinner is available 4:45-6:15pm in the Sanctuary Fellowship Hall. All are welcome! NEW FALL 2024: We’re piloting a “pay-as-you’re able” plan for dinner. Suggested donation is $4-6 for children (ages 3 and up) and $6-8 for adults. Cash\, check\, debit/credit cards\, and Apple Pay are accepted. VOLUNTEER! We can use your help! Join our volunteer teams that prepare the meals on Tuesdays and set up\, serve\, and clean up on Wednesdays. It’s a fun way to be part of our church family while giving back.
