SUMMARY:PEER MINISTRY LEADERSHIP TRAINING
DESCRIPTION:All High Schoolers are welcome to join our Peer Ministry program. It’s a great way to meet the other high schoolers in our community. It gives all participants useful skills beneficial for socializing with\, ministering to\, and relating to their peers! I would recommend this program to literally ANYONE (no matter which church they go to\, which school they go to\, or how many people they know in our program). Groups that have found this very useful in the past: \n\n\n\nCollege applicants looking to add to their resume \n\n\n\nCaptains of sports teams who want to be better leaders \n\n\n\nSmall group leaders for Confirmation or other programs \n\n\n\nPeople who have a job where they interact with people \n\n\n\nPeople interested in ministry \n\n\n\nPeople who want to learn to be better friends or listeners \n\n\n\nLeaders of local faith groups in school or in other churches \n\n\n\nGrades: For youth enrolled in grades 9-12 \n\n\n\nSchedule: January 7th\, February 4th\, March 3rd\, April 7th\, and May 5th \n\n\n\n(optional but encouraged) 10:30 Worship – We will all sit together in the Sanctuary! \n\n\n\n11:30 worship is over\, we get a cookie and coffee and mingle! \n\n\n\n11:45 Peer Ministry Session starts in Pier 7. \n\n\n\n11:45 – 12:00 we eat the catered food! \n\n\n\n12:00- 1:00 We get trained in Peer Ministry! \n\n\n\nCost: $25 (this is just for the cost of meals) \n\n\n\nRegistration: Click “Register for this Event” to begin the registration process. LIFE Groups return in April and meet each week a LIFE Talk is held. Most groups meet together on Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m.\, immediately following the LIFE Talk. DESCRIPTION:Winter/Spring Session 2024 \n\n\n\nSt. Andrew’s Lutheran Church is offering an in-person\, facilitated support group for those who are experiencing the loss of loved ones. The hope for the group is that members will have an opportunity to share\, listen\, and support each other toward healing. The group will be facilitated by a St. Andrew’s pastor or Care Lay Minister. Meetings will be held in St. Andrew’s Great Hall building in the Dot Room – Thursday evenings from 4:30-6:00 p.m. – from Feb. 1 through Mar. 28\, 2024. DESCRIPTION:Wednesday night is church night! We serve a delicious home-cooked meal for children\, adults\, and families participating in Wednesday programs (including kids and adult choirs\, Confirmation\, and LIFEU) and anyone looking for a break from cooking. Dinner is available 4:45-6:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary Fellowship Hall. Cost is $7 per person with a $25 family maximum. Kids 3 and under eat free. Cash\, check\, debit/credit cards\, and Apple Pay accepted. We could use your help! Join our volunteer teams that prepare the meal\, setup and serve\, or clean up. SUMMARY:CANCER CONNECT - WINTER/SPRING 2024
DESCRIPTION:If you are a cancer survivor\, caregiver\, or have a loved-one with cancer\, we welcome you to join us for fellowship. This group will be facilitated by Micki Smith\, a member of our congregation who has travelled a cancer journey of her own. In 2016 Micki was diagnosed with Stage 3B Appendiceal Cancer and subsequently went through surgery and extensive chemotherapy. She is very grateful to be alive today. During her journey\, Micki was able to connect with someone else with cancer. Together they walked with Christ\, and were able to provide each other much needed comfort and support. In Micki’s own words “God nudged me to help connect with others confronted with cancer–both survivors and caregivers. My desire is to offer fellowship which will be centered around God’s love and support for us.”

DESCRIPTION:Winter/Spring Session 2024 \n\n\n\nSt. Andrew’s Lutheran Church is offering an in-person\, facilitated support group for those who are experiencing the loss of loved ones. The hope for the group is that members will have an opportunity to share\, listen\, and support each other toward healing. The group will be facilitated by a St. Andrew’s pastor or Care Lay Minister. Meetings will be held in St. Andrew’s Great Hall building in the Dot Room – Thursday evenings from 4:30-6:00 p.m. – from Feb. 1 through Mar. 28\, 2024.
