DESCRIPTION:Men of St. Andrew’s please join us for our first BBQ of the season. Enjoy incredible BBQ\, great fellowship\, games\, a chance to connect around a fire\, and hear our very own Dave Meslow\, NFL referee\, the featured speaker for the night. Come and bring a family member or friend! No cost or registration. A freewill offering will be accepted. \n\n\n\nDave Meslow and his wife Lori have been a long-time member of St. Andrew’s. He recently retired from 3M after 39 years\, but he has enjoyed officiating football games since 1981 and continues to do so. He’s worked in Minnesota\, Texas\, and Florida and served four different college conferences: Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Association\, North Central Conference\, Big South Conference\, and the ACC Conference. While in the ACC Conference\, he had the honor of refereeing for the ACC Championship\, Silicon Valley Bowl\, Petro Sun Bowl\, Compass Bowl\, Independence Bowl\, and Fiesta Bowl. He’s also officiated in the Arena League\, Canadian Football League\, and NFL European League. In 2010 he was hired by the NFL and he just competed in his 13th season. He’s officiated numerous play-off games and is on the Scott Vovak crew for the upcoming season.

DESCRIPTION:Thursday at 7:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe one-hour interactive workshop via Zoom covers what baptism is\, what it means for you and/or your child\, tips for raising a family of faith\, and what the day of baptism will look like. \n\n\n\nThe class will cover: What baptism means in the Lutheran tradition\, how to prepare for your child’s baptism\, what to expect on the day of their baptism\, godparents and how to select them\, nurturing faith at home beyond your child’s baptism day\, and more! You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other St. Andrew’s families\, and have any of your remaining questions about baptism answered. \n\n\n\nPlease gather these items and have them nearby at the Zoom meeting: A “faith object” (for show-and-tell)— something in your home that reminds you of your faith or helps you practice your faith\, a small bowl of water (for a blessing)\, and a Bible (you can Google for our readings if you don’t have a Bible available). \n\n\n\nYour children are more than welcome to join us during the meeting\, but they are not required to be present. We understand that some of you will need to move on-and-off-screen to tend to the needs of your little ones during our time together. We are so grateful for this opportunity to gather in whatever way is best for your family! \n\n\n\nPlease note\, a Zoom link will be emailed to you 2-3 days before the workshop.
