DESCRIPTION:Thursday at 7:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe one-hour interactive workshop via Zoom covers what baptism is\, what it means for you and/or your child\, tips for raising a family of faith\, and what the day of baptism will look like. \n\n\n\nThe class will cover: What baptism means in the Lutheran tradition\, how to prepare for your child’s baptism\, what to expect on the day of their baptism\, godparents and how to select them\, nurturing faith at home beyond your child’s baptism day\, and more! You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other St. Andrew’s families\, and have any of your remaining questions about baptism answered. \n\n\n\nPlease gather these items and have them nearby at the Zoom meeting: A “faith object” (for show-and-tell)— something in your home that reminds you of your faith or helps you practice your faith\, a small bowl of water (for a blessing)\, and a Bible (you can Google for our readings if you don’t have a Bible available). \n\n\n\nYour children are more than welcome to join us during the meeting\, but they are not required to be present. We understand that some of you will need to move on-and-off-screen to tend to the needs of your little ones during our time together. DESCRIPTION:SMALL GROUP RELATIONAL TRACK\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Small Group Relational track is for students excited to have weekly discussions about their lives and their faith. Led by our trained upperclassmen Peer Ministers\, this track will involve fun\, fellowship\, and feasting on the Word of God! Each week we will come together to check in with each other\, study the bible\, discuss our lives and what Jesus tells us about how to navigate through easy and difficult times\, and join together in some fun through weekly activities and games. Students should choose this track if they are interested in committing to being part of a small group through May. Our hopes for this track is that students will find a support group that helps them navigate the difficulties of freshman year of high school and forms relationships that will last a lifetime. \n\n\n\n\nSchedule: Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 in the Youth & Sports Center\, Sept 18\, 25\, Oct 2\, 9\, and then all following program-Wednesdays through May.\n\n\n\nFinal Project: Write a faith essay on why community is important for Christians.
