SUMMARY:SUMMER STRETCH 2024
DESCRIPTION:Summer Stretch is back again this July! It is a time for Middle Schoolers to do some good service work\, and then have a fun-filled adventure in the afternoon. We’ll hold four sessions on Tuesdays – July 9\, 16\, 23\, and 30. All with service in the morning\, a bring your own bag lunch\, and a fun event in the afternoon.  Invite your friends! This is a great way to get others involved. Small group and large group service mornings will support a variety of local charities and organizations. Our afternoon adventure events will include three of the following: Como Park\, movie\, Trollhaugen Ropes Course\, Pinz\, Bunker Beach Water Park\, and Lake Elmo Park Reserve. (Final weekly adventures will be determined by weather and our registration numbers.) We will wrap up with an all-day adventure at Valley Fair on July 30.  \n\n\n\nMiddle School Summer Stretch Dates and schedule:July 9\, July 16\, July 23\, July 30 (register for at least two sessions or for all four or for any combination in between) \n\n\n\n9am to 4pm \n\n\n\nAges/Grades: For youth completed Grades 6-8. \n\n\n\nCost: $50 per person per trip. Financial assistance is available for additional support. DESCRIPTION:Monday at 1 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe one-hour interactive workshop via Zoom covers what baptism is\, what it means for you and/or your child\, tips for raising a family of faith\, and what the day of baptism will look like. \n\n\n\nThe class will cover: What baptism means in the Lutheran tradition\, how to prepare for your child’s baptism\, what to expect on the day of their baptism\, godparents and how to select them\, nurturing faith at home beyond your child’s baptism day\, and more! You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other St. Andrew’s families\, and have any of your remaining questions about baptism answered. \n\n\n\nPlease gather these items and have them nearby at the Zoom meeting: A “faith object” (for show-and-tell)—something in your home that reminds you of your faith or helps you practice your faith\, a small bowl of water (for a blessing)\, a Bible (you can Google for our readings if you don’t have a Bible available). \n\n\n\nYour children are more than welcome to join us during the meeting\, but they are not required to be present. We understand that some of you will need to move on-and-off-screen to tend to the needs of your little ones during our time together. We are so grateful for this opportunity to gather in whatever way is best for your family! \n\n\n\nA Zoom link will be emailed to you 2-3 days before the workshop.

SUMMARY:SUMMER STRETCH 2024
DESCRIPTION:Summer Stretch is back again this July! It is a time for Middle Schoolers to do some good service work\, and then have a fun-filled adventure in the afternoon. We’ll hold four sessions on Tuesdays – July 9\, 16\, 23\, and 30. All with service in the morning\, a bring your own bag lunch\, and a fun event in the afternoon.  Invite your friends! This is a great way to get others involved. Small group and large group service mornings will support a variety of local charities and organizations. Our afternoon adventure events will include three of the following: Como Park\, movie\, Trollhaugen Ropes Course\, Pinz\, Bunker Beach Water Park\, and Lake Elmo Park Reserve. (Final weekly adventures will be determined by weather and our registration numbers.) We will wrap up with an all-day adventure at Valley Fair on July 30.  \n\n\n\nMiddle School Summer Stretch Dates and schedule:July 9\, July 16\, July 23\, July 30 (register for at least two sessions or for all four or for any combination in between) \n\n\n\n9am to 4pm \n\n\n\nAges/Grades: For youth completed Grades 6-8. \n\n\n\nCost: $50 per person per trip.
