EYDIE DYKE-SHYPULSKI is a national and international presenter\, clinical social worker\, and chair of the Social Work Department at Bethel University. She has a deep commitment to justice informed social work practice and advancing equity inclusion in the field. She holds a Master of Social Work from St. Louis University and DMin from Bethel Seminary.

SUMMARY:TRICKS & TREATS WITH THE MIGHTY ORGAN
DESCRIPTION:This annual pre-Halloween concert for all ages is a hit with St. Andrew’s attendees as well as the greater community. During this one-hour performance\, resident organist Bill Chouinard will play the famous Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach\, and other classical and pop favorites on Minnesota’s largest pipe organ! Guests will be thrilled and chilled by special lighting and videos in a concert designed with young listeners in mind. Kids are invited to come in costume to participate in an indoor costume parade for kids. Come early for pizza ($2/slice\, plus salad\, fruit\, and beverage) served from 5-6pm in the adjoining Fellowship Hall. An offering will be received with a special organ “trick” and refreshments and treats will be available after the program.

DESCRIPTION:Early Childhood\n\n\n\n\n\nMonday at 1:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe one-hour interactive workshop via Zoom covers what baptism is\, what it means for you and/or your child\, tips for raising a family of faith\, and what the day of baptism will look like. \n\n\n\nThe class will cover: What baptism means in the Lutheran tradition\, how to prepare for your child’s baptism\, what to expect on the day of their baptism\, godparents and how to select them\, nurturing faith at home beyond your child’s baptism day\, and more! You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other St. Andrew’s families\, and have any of your remaining questions about baptism answered. \n\n\n\nPlease gather these items and have them nearby at the Zoom meeting: A “faith object” (for show-and-tell)— something in your home that reminds you of your faith or helps you practice your faith\, a small bowl of water (for a blessing)\, and a Bible (you can Google for our readings if you don’t have a Bible available). \n\n\n\nYour children are more than welcome to join us during the meeting\, but they are not required to be present. We understand that some of you will need to move on-and-off-screen to tend to the needs of your little ones during our time together.
