SUMMARY:SENIOR BLESSING 2026
DESCRIPTION:High school graduation is a time of excitement and celebration (sometimes mixed with stress or uncertainty) as our teenagers mark a significant moment in their journey of life and faith. We honor the youth and their parents during a worship service as a reminder that we\, as a congregation\, promise at each baptism to support and encourage families in a life of faith that does not stop after graduation. \n\n\n\nEach of our seniors (and their families) is invited to join us in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45am for a recognition ceremony\, followed by coffee and pastries and a photo of our senior class. Then plan to attend the Senior Blessing\, a celebration of their achievement in graduation from High School\, during our 10:30am Traditional service! Registration requested\, link below.

DESCRIPTION:The one-hour interactive workshop via Zoom covers what baptism is\, what it means for you and/or your child\, tips for raising a family of faith\, and what the day of baptism will look like. \n\n\n\nThe class will cover: What baptism means in the Lutheran tradition\, how to prepare for your child’s baptism\, what to expect on the day of their baptism\, godparents and how to select them\, nurturing faith at home beyond your child’s baptism day\, and more! You’ll have the opportunity to connect with other St. Andrew’s families\, and have any of your remaining questions about baptism answered. \n\n\n\nPlease gather these items and have them nearby at the Zoom meeting: A “faith object” (for show-and-tell)— something in your home that reminds you of your faith or helps you practice your faith\, a small bowl of water (for a blessing)\, and a Bible (you can Google for our readings if you don’t have a Bible available). \n\n\n\nYour children are more than welcome to join us during the meeting\, but they are not required to be present. We understand that some of you will need to move on-and-off-screen to tend to the needs of your little ones during our time together. We are so grateful for this opportunity to gather in whatever way is best for your family! \n\n\n\nPlease note\, a Zoom link will be emailed to you 2-3 days before the workshop. \n\n\n\n\n\nJune: Monday\, June 1 – 1pm & Wednesday\, June 3rd – 6pmJuly: Monday\, July 13 – 1pm & Wednesday\, July 15th – 6pmAugust: Monday\, August 10 – 1pm & Wednesday\, August 12 – 6pmSeptember: Thursday\, September 10 – 6pm & Monday\, September 28 – 1pm
