How does it work? First, decide what your family’s needs are for this summer. Whether it is full day for all ten weeks or one afternoon at the pool, we are open to serve you from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Our Extended Day hours run from 7 a.m.- 9.a.m. and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Our Program Hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. with half day options included. Half day programs run 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. or 12:30 - 4 p.m.
What happened to the camps from last year? They are still here - just under a new names with a creative flair. We asked you what your favorites were and kept them as well as adding some new ideas and new field trips! For example, if your child participated in basketball camp last summer, it is still available. It is considered a four day camp which will meet 9 a.m. - 12 p.m, M,T or W, Th and Fri. The same goes with all other favorites from last year.
So, why isn’t there camps on some Tuesdays or Wednesdays? There are! Our full day off campus field trips are included in our weekly camps. If you are choosing a daily option, these field trips need to be registered for separately.
Are you open the week of the 4th of July? Yes, but we will have an altered schedule. We usually are only open for 2 days that week. For 2008, we will be open June 30 and July 1.
Does Summer S.H.I.N.E. conflict with Vacation Bible School? No! It makes it even easier for your child to enroll in Vacation Bible School (VBS).
By signing your child up for VBS through Summer S.H.I.N.E., the fees for VBS is covered. Your child will participate in VBS in the morning and return to Summer S.H.I.N.E. in the afternoon for field trips or other programming. You can use all the extended day hours you need! Note: The field trip during the week of VBS is half day due to VBS programming.
